# Effective API

> Connect your applications and agents to Effective.

The Effective REST API accepts HTTPS requests and returns JSON. Start by
verifying your credentials with `GET /api/v2/users/me`.

  V2 is in preview. This reference currently exposes one operation: get the authenticated user and
  tenant. Additional capabilities will appear here as their contracts become available. Preview
  contracts may change.
